Tips For Higher Quality Content On Twitter

Ever wonder why your high-quality content appears as such low-quality on Twitter? Twitter automatically compresses your files, but you can help lessen the blow by optimizing them before uploading. Creating content in the appropriate format will help maintain the quality when sharing.

First, if you're an iOS or Android mobile Twitter user there are some settings you may want to consider changing.

Android users: navigate to Settings and privacy > Accessibility display and languages > Data usage

iOS users: Settings and privacy > Data usage

Twitter data usage menu on Android mobile

At the top of the data usage menu you can see there is an option to toggle "Data Saver" on or off. If you want videos to autoplay and to experience higher-quality content you may want to leave "Data Saver" toggled off. This might not be a good option if you don't have an unlimited mobile data plan.

Below "Data Saver" there are even more options that will allow you to post and view higher-quality content. You may choose whether or not you want high-quality content to load/post on mobile data connections or WiFi.
