If you’ve watched any of my Sybian videos, you know I love this toy. It’s well-constructed, thoughtful, and adaptable for your play. I even did a complete review on it – it’s such a great machine!

Continue reading for more on why I feel the Sybian is a great investment, ways to incorporate the Sybian into your life, and as an added bonus, I’ll cover Sybian’s penis-focused toy, Venus for Men.

What is the Sybian?

First, let’s talk about what the Sybian is, what it promises, and how you can find your bliss with the Sybian.

I like to call the Sybian the ‘jet engine of all vibrators!’. It’s a vibrating saddle-seat masturbatory machine complete with easy-to-use controls and a variety of attachments for maximum fun. The Sybian is intended to be knelt on (although it can be used while lying down!) and includes risers to customize the experience for every user. The included attachments provide various opportunities for stimulation, and even more, specialized attachments can be purchased separately.

Created by Dave Lampert in the mid-’80’s, the conception of the Sybian had begun nearly a decade before, with Lampert wondering why no one had made something like this for women. Lampert spent years talking with sexual health experts, counselors, and engineers to get his dream started. Finally, he was able to put together a wood and sheet metal prototype in 1985 before streamlining it down to the 22 pounds, electrically-powered Cadillac of sex toys we have today. I really appreciate what he had to say about the final outcome:

“Sybian is not what I thought it should be but the collective input of many women”.

The Sybian is for people at every level of their sexual journey. It can be used as a training tool, particularly for people that struggle to orgasm. It’s also great as a solo experience for people of all genders or shared with a partner. The simple controls – rotation on one side, vibration on the other – provide opportunities for creative solo or partnered play.

How is the Sybian Used?

The Sybian comes with an 8-foot electrical cord, giving you space to set it up on the floor, on a bed, or any other sturdy and padded surface. On the website, they point out that the vibrations of the Sybian will reverberate through wood, which you may want to keep in mind if you have wood floors or other people in close proximity.

Once it’s plugged in, you can choose from a few silicone attachments. Read through the instruction manual thoroughly; not only does it provide safety information, it also lets you know which springs and stems to use with which attachments. I know it sounds a little overwhelming, but once you have the Sybian in front of you, it begins to make more sense! This manual is seriously comprehensive, too – it provides fun tips on using the Sybian by yourself or with someone else, as well as a short primer on humping.

Test out the controls before hopping on! It may be tempting to just give it a whirl right out the gate, but if you watched my video, then you’ll know that even at a 5 out of 10 on the vibrating dial, it’s powerful!

Once you’re comfortable with the controls, lube up your chosen attachment and lower yourself onto it into a kneeling position facing the end the controls are on. For best results, ensure your clitoris is in full contact with the front. This is where one of those risers could be useful if you’re unable to make full contact just from changing positions.

The image featured above is a specially designed lift attachment. Lift risers will help various other attachments make better contact with your clitoris.

From here, adjust the controls as necessary for quite the ride!

Because it’s so customizable – the risers, various attachments, and the attachment cover that adds girth – not to mention the horsepower, I’m a true believer in the Sybian. I’ve had mine for years and use it frequently, which is a testament to its quality. It’s definitely an investment at nearly $1,300 currently, but as the makers of Sybian point out on their website, they technically could’ve tried making something less expensive, but they didn’t want to risk a product that would break down in just a year or two.

Is the Sybian a good investment for adult content creators?

Every creator has a different fanbase, but I can say from my own experience, that the Sybian was a wonderful investment for me. There is a niche interest in this machine that has fueled the majority of my Sybian content.

Not only does this machine add interest to my live shows, but it has made some wonderful videos as well. It is comfortable and easy to use which is a big deal in content creation! For live shows, I recommend allowing your fans to tip for control. Toy control has gained quite a bit of popularity in the last few years and allows for more interaction. Some of my highest earning shows have been tip-controlled Sybian-use.

If you feel that the price is too steep you can always encourage your fans to contribute to a goal! I wouldn't own a Sybian without the help of some very excited (and generous) viewers.

Tip: Reward fans who help contribute to this purchase with an exclusive video or access to a live show!

Venus for Men

Dave Lampert made the Sybian entirely with women in mind and if men happened to like it, that was just a nice perk. In the late ‘90’s, the company decided to take the same obsession with the quality they’d dedicated to the Sybian and apply it to a masturbation machine for men, the Venus for Men.

According to one customer testimonial from the website:

I can have sessions that last two, three, sometimes four hours. The best way I can describe it, is it is like floating along on a slowly drifting gentle orgasmic cloud. How is that for an allegory?

The Venus for Men is truly one of a kind. It doesn’t matter if your penis is erect or flaccid: a user places the head of their penis into the opening of the soft rubber-lined receiver and, once they turn the machine on, the receiver draws the penis in the rest of the way. It hugs around the penis creating a custom fit and uses a pulsating, sucking action to provide stimulation.

Think of the receiver like a diaphragm. There are controls to regulate the airflow in the outer chamber, which in turn controls the rate at which the receiver strokes the penis. You can adjust the speed from 8 strokes per minute all the way up to 300 strokes a minute! It’s hands-free with an erect penis and it’s easy to clean.

This is also an investment of a toy – currently $956 – but like the Sybian, it comes with a 45-day money-back guarantee and promises the same quality as the Sybian. Because the lining is rubber, it will eventually have to be replaced, but that’s a pretty inexpensive facet of the whole unit.

There are attachments that can be purchased separately, such as a head/nipple massager. I imagine that could be a fun addition in partnered play!

I hope you found this guide to the Sybian helpful! For more, check out my unboxing video and let me know in the comments what you think of the Sybian!
